At an investor conference on September 29, 2004, management will reaffirm estimates for the Companys diluted earnings per share for the year ended December 31, 2004 of $2.00 to $2.05 per share.
This report contains forward-looking statements (statements which are not historical facts). These statements, including the Companys expected earnings per share for the year ending December 31, 2004, are based upon certain assumptions and estimates that might not be realized. Important factors that could cause actual results to differ materially from those indicated by such forward-looking statements include the timing and amount of interest rate movements by the Federal Reserve, changes in the relationship between short-term and long-term interest rates, the performance of global financial markets, and the Companys ability to continue to manage its costs. Additional factors that could also affect actual results are set forth under the heading Certain Factors That May Affect Future Results in the Companys Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2003 and the Companys Quarter Report on Form 10-Q for the Quarter Ended June 30, 2004.
