Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

In a Current Report on Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 10, 2008, UTStarcom, Inc. (the “Company”) disclosed that the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors (the “Compensation Committee”) named Peter Blackmore as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company, effective July 1 2008.  In connection therewith, the Company erroneously disclosed that the effective date for a grant of restricted stock awarded by the Compensation Committee to Mr. Blackmore was June 30, 2008.  The correct date of grant is July 31, 2008, the last trading day of the month in which Mr. Blackmore’s promotion becomes effective.
