Item 8.01. Other Events.
On July 5, 2006 Insmed Incorporated published a press release announcing that on June 30, 2006, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California issued a decision in the suit brought by Genentech, Inc. and Tercica, Inc. against Insmed, Inc. and two of its subsidiaries alleging infringement of three U.S. patents. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
