EXPLANATORY NOTE

BlackRock MuniYield Arizona Fund, Inc., a Maryland corporation, (the “Fund”) is filing this Form 8-A in connection with the transfer of the listing of its shares of common stock (the “Common Stock”) from the NYSE American LLC (the “NYSE American”) to the New York Stock Exchange (the “NYSE”). Upon commencement of trading of the Common Stock on the NYSE, the Fund will voluntarily withdraw the Common Stock from listing on the NYSE American.
