The shareholders of BRASKEM S.A. (Company) are hereby called to attend the Extraordinary General Meeting that will be held on July 25, 2008, at 10 a.m., at the Companys headquarters located at Rua Eteno, 1.561, Pólo Petroquímico, in the Municipality of Camaçari, State of Bahia, in order to deliberate on the following Agenda: 01) Election of members of the Board of Directors as arising from the resignations presented and appointment of the President and Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Company.

Attention: | Taking into account the Health, Safety and Environmental Norms (SSMA Saúde, Segurança e Meio Ambiente) in effect at the headquarters of the Company, which set forth the directives for the control of access of people and vehicles into the internal and external areas of the headquarters, the shareholders and their legal representatives convened for the Meeting are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of it, so as to insure compliance with the SSMA basic training instruction procedures in effect at the Company, which have been made available for consultation at the Companys headquarter. |
