(A&P) (NYSE:GAP) said today that in connection with its recently-announced agreement to acquire Pathmark Stores, Inc., it has sold 6,350,000 shares of its holdings in Metro, Inc. (Montreal, Canada) for proceeds of approximately $203.5 million. The Company continues to hold approximately 11.7 million Metro shares.
