Other Events.

On November 1, 2007, Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (the “Corporation”) issued a combined press release with Metavante Corporation (“Metavante”) announcing that the parties have completed the separation of the Corporation and Metavante into two independent publicly-traded companies:  new Marshall & Ilsley Corporation and Metavante Technologies, Inc.  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
