Results of Operations and Financial Condition
On October 29, 2012, the Company reported a net loss from continuing operations of $5.2 million, or $.10 per share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012, as compared to net earnings of $5.4 million, or $.11 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2011.
Net sales from continuing operations were $202 million for the three months ended September 30, 2012, as compared to $212 million for the same three-month period in 2011, and the total tons shipped declined by three percent for the comparable quarter-over-quarter periods.
