Item 8.01 Other Events
On November 19, 2007, The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (the
"Company"), issued a press release announcing that they have provided the two
week notice of its intention to consummate the acquisition of Pathmark Stores
Inc. to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) effective November 13, 2007. A copy
of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
