ITEM 7.01 REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE

On January 19, 2007, Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) presented a Powerpoint slideshow to the investment community addressing its acquisition of a 51-hotel portfolio from CNL Hotels and Resorts. The Powerpoint slideshow is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference. On January 19, 2007, the Company filed related Form 8-Ks that included the related press release and related conference call transcript.
