Gratitude in the Fast Lane: Theodore Robins Ford and Rainbow® Sandals Foundation Gift New Rescue Vehicles to Pacific Marine Mammal Center

State-of-the-art vehicles that will be instrumental in aiding the rescue and rehabilitation of seals and sea lions along the Southern California Coast

LAGUNA BEACH, CA, November 09, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In a generous display of commitment to wildlife rehabilitation and conservation, two prominent organizations have donated two brand-new vehicles for marine mammal rescue operations at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, PMMC. The gifts from Theodore Robins Ford and Rainbow® Sandals Foundation underscores their dedication to protecting marine life and the environment.

Theodore Robins Ford, a substantial supporter of PMMC and the center's wildlife preservation, has donated a 2024 Ford F250 to bolster the sea lion and other marine mammal rescue efforts. Their commitment to ocean stewardship aligns seamlessly with PMMC's mission.

Rainbow® Sandals Foundation, also a longtime benefactor who is known as a leading advocate for marine conservation, has generously contributed a 2024 Ford F150. A state-of-the-art vehicle that will be instrumental in aiding the rescue and rehabilitation of seals and sea lions along the Southern California Coast.

Both vehicles are equipped with the latest technology to ensure the safety and well-being of these magnificent creatures

Designed for maximum efficiency and safety, the trucks are outfitted with specialized equipment to transport and care for injured or stranded pinnipeds. This significant contribution will not only enhance the response capabilities of our rescue teams but also aid in their vital mission to protect and rehabilitate these marine animals.

Our community and its residents will greatly benefit from the increased resources that these organizations have generously provided. The vehicles will enable more rapid response times, improved medical care, and efficient transportation of the animals in need, ultimately leading to better chances of recovery and successful reintroduction into their natural habitat.

"We are immensely grateful for the generosity shown by both Theodore Robins Ford and Rainbow® Sandals Foundation," said Glenn Gray, CEO of PMMC. "Their contributions will have a profound impact on our sea lion rescue efforts, and it demonstrates the power of collaboration when it comes to protecting our marine ecosystem."

Mr. Gray continued, "With these new vehicles, we will be able to expand our reach and respond even more effectively to animal distress calls. This marks a significant step forward in our collective goal of preserving our precious marine life."

The dedication of these two organizations to marine animal rescue is a testament to the potential for positive change when like-minded groups work together. This collaborative effort not only strengthens the ongoing conservation efforts but also inspires others to join the cause and help protect the rich biodiversity of our coastal region.
