Spring Hill Schools USD 230 has named Dr. Courtney Weber as the new Director of Special Services, succeeding Cindy Dziadosz, who is retiring after a distinguished 32-year career in education.

SPRING HILL, Kan. - January 22, 2025 - Spring Hill Schools is pleased to announce Dr. Courtney Weber as the new Director of Special Services, effective July 1, 2025. Dr. Weber, currently Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Spring Hill Middle School, will step into her new role following the retirement of Cindy Dziadosz, who concludes a distinguished 32-year career in education, including six years with the district.

Dr. Weber brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting students with diverse needs. Since joining Spring Hill Schools in 2023, she has enhanced the school’s Student Intervention Team process, expanded Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and provided professional development to empower staff.

"As a parent and community member, I’ve always admired Spring Hill Schools and its commitment to excellence," Dr. Weber said. "This role allows me to combine my passion for special education with my love for this community, ensuring every student has the resources they need to succeed."

Before joining Spring Hill, Dr. Weber served as Principal of Insight School of Kansas, where she worked closely with her team to improve graduation rates by over 25% in two years. At Gardner Edgerton High School, she led intervention programming and special education services. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Baker University, a Master’s in Special Education from the University of Kansas, and a Bachelor’s from Miami University in Ohio.

Retiring Director Cindy Dziadosz leaves an impactful legacy after six years of service to Spring Hill Schools, including five as Director of Special Services. Her tenure was marked by significant achievements, including the creation of site-based classrooms for students with autism spectrum disorders and intellectual delays, the establishment of an 18-21 transition program, and improved staff training in IEP development, instructional support, and behavior intervention.

"My greatest accomplishment has been serving students with the greatest needs and seeing their growth, success, and moves toward independence," Dziadosz said. "I hope to leave a foundation for future growth that supports all students as the district continues to evolve."

Dziadosz also expressed confidence in her successor: "Courtney brings a strong vision and passion for student success. Her dedication to fostering equity and collaboration makes her the ideal leader to carry this department forward."

In her new role, Dr. Weber plans to build on the foundation established by Dziadosz by expanding professional development opportunities, fostering collaboration between general and special education teams, and enhancing communication with families. She aims to adapt and grow the district’s special education programming to meet the needs of an expanding student population.

As for her retirement, Dziadosz looks forward to yoga, reading, writing, art, travel, and spending more time with her grandchildren. Reflecting on her career, she added, "It’s been an honor to serve the students and families of Spring Hill Schools."

Superintendent Dr. Link Luttrell praised the transition: "Cindy’s dedication and leadership have been transformative for our district. We are excited to see Dr. Weber build on her work, continuing to provide exceptional support for our students and families."
