Latest Win Marks Sixth Award in Six Years
McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, is flexing its innovation muscle as it celebrates their FLEX Controls™ system’s win as a Constructech Top Product in the Trusted Product category (Commercial & Residential). This is the company’s sixth award in as many years, extending its lead as the industry’s most awarded system.
Constructech Top Awards annually recognizes the best technology products serving the construction industry. The Trusted Product category includes technology that has been in the market for at least three years and upgraded or enhanced technology.
FLEX Controls walked away with the Top Trusted Product Award based on McNeilus’ expanded integrations for the industry’s only factory-direct software system designed specifically for concrete mixers.
“FLEX Controls for concrete mixer trucks is continuously evolving, always keeping customers at the forefront and giving them the chance to have a say in the next generation of features and functionality,” said Bryan Datema, Sr. Director of Engineering, Innovation, and Product Performance. “It’s very rewarding to see our innovative system continuing to top our industry nearly six years after its introduction.”
Over the past year, the engineering team has helped customers with the FLEX Controls system to maximize efficiency, operator assurance and ease of use while also continuing to deliver lifecycle value. These integrations allow operators to continue to utilize the FLEX Controls screen for the various technologies customers want to operate their businesses. This helps to minimize clutter and distraction so drivers can pay attention to the road. McNeilus has integration solutions for:
- Air entrainment measurements with CiDRA SMARThatch™systems
- Single and multiple camera systems
- Camera recording features
- Various radar detection options
- Fleet management programs utilized within the ready-mix industry
- External remote to operate some mixer functions outside the cab
The FLEX Controls system offers great control and helps manage variability in loading, mixing and delivering concrete to a job site. FLEX Controls not only delivers lifecycle value but can also help companies reduce their total cost of ownership with expected savings of up to 5% annual operating costs once implemented in their fleet and depending on conditions.
