The Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children is delighted to announce the highly anticipated Stand for Kids Gala, taking place at the iconic Universal Studios Hollywood and Wizarding World of Harry Potter on Saturday, June 10. This star-studded event aims to raise funds and awareness for children with musculoskeletal injuries and disorders and advance patient-centered care worldwide.

The Stand for Kids Gala is set to be an unforgettable night of celebration, entertainment, and philanthropy with Universal Studios Hollywood as its breathtaking backdrop. The 112-year-old nonprofit organization will celebrate women pushing healthcare frontiers and LuskinOIC’s enduring mission to advance health equity for every child in Los Angeles and beyond.

LuskinOIC will honor multi-Grammy-award winning and Emmy-award winning humanitarian and artist, Linda Ronstadt, with the Voice for the Children award, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, with the Champion for Children award, two-time Emmy-winning director, Mary Lou Belli, with the Luminary award, and The Perry Initiative will receive the Power of Partnership award for their work building a pipeline for women in engineering and medicine.

The gala will raise funds to help children while honoring global leaders and women of the LuskinOIC community, including donors, community partners, patient ambassadors, and healthcare professionals who forge a path of excellence and compassion in all they do.”

A mission-driven organization, LuskinOIC stands as the largest provider of pediatric orthopaedic care on the West Coast, receives more than 70,000 patient visits each year, and offers pro-bono treatment to patients in Calexico and Mexicali, among other cities worldwide. In alliance with UCLA, LuskinOIC promotes medical education and scientific research in orthopaedics.

The family friendly gala will set the stage for a night of compassion, as guests gather to show support for the life-changing work LuskinOIC carries out. More than 600 guests will enjoy an enchanted forest experience in Sound Stage 15, hosted by comedian and actress, Caroline Rhea, as well as a performance by award-winning singer and American Idol finalist, Pia Toscano, and a set by DJ Asha. Ana Ortiz and Estrella TV news anchor Jose Ronstadt will serve as program presenters.

The tux n’ tennies red-carpet gala will include thrilling surprises, a live and silent auction, and an exclusive LuskinOIC gala guest-only experience in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter full of fun, desserts, rides, magic, and light show! Rachel Davis and Sarah Jonovic co-chair the fifth annual gala.
