Marketing veteran to lead strategic initiatives, enhancing brand visibility and highlighting firm’s comprehensive family office framework

Nepsis, Inc. (“Nepsis”), a national financial advisor and investment management firm, today announced the appointment of Derek Malmquist as vice president (VP) of marketing. In this capacity, Malmquist will elevate the firm’s communication strategy to better highlight the integrated solutions Nepsis offers its clients–including tax, investments and planning–while supporting the firm’s continued growth.

As VP of marketing, Malmquist will lead the development and execution of Nepsis' strategy to enhance the firm’s brand and grow its client base. He will oversee the creation of marketing materials and drive targeted campaigns across digital and traditional media. Collaborating closely with the executive team, he will ensure that marketing initiatives align with the firm’s strategic goals, particularly in advanced tax, estate and chief financial officer (CFO) services.

With an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor of arts from Harvard University, Malmquist's educational background has been a strong foundation for his 20-year marketing career. He most recently served as director of marketing at Alerus, a commercial wealth bank and national retirement services provider, where he led marketing strategy, brand communication and execution across multiple channels. Prior to that, Malmquist was vice president of global marketing and content development for Reinsurance Group of America, a Fortune 250 company, where he honed his skills in global branding. Now, he will bring this extensive experience to Nepsis.
