RFG Advisory Bolsters Executive Roster by Adding Abby Salameh and Two Tenured Leaders

Salameh, Brendan Frazier and Kenneth Kim will accelerate growth, evolution of award-winning RIA

RFG Advisory, (“RFG”) an innovator in the wealth management industry committed to serving independent financial advisors and their clients, today announced three key appointments to its executive team. The addition of these proven industry champions serves to bolster the team of A-players at RFG all aligned to serve the ever-evolving needs of independent advisors.

Abby Salameh, an industry pioneer with over 25 years of building growth services for independent financial advisors, joins RFG as chief growth officer. Salameh, who previously served as the chief marketing officer, head of strategic partnerships and managing director of CAIS IQ, a tech-enabled education platform, is well-positioned to propel the growth model for the registered investment advisory (RIA). Recognized as the 2023 WeathManagement.com Technology CMO of the Year1, Salameh is set to drive advisor recruitment, marketing and organic growth among RFG’s existing network of advisors.

The award-winning RIA already boasts a Net Promoter Score (NPS®) of 82, underscoring the quality of its offerings. Additionally, RFG's advisors are growing their assets under management (AUM) three times faster than the industry average.

“RFG is the most industry awarded firm advisors have never heard of and we are about to change that,” said Salameh. “RFG’s fully integrated platform is precisely what advisors need to enhance their client experience, drive organic growth and build enterprise value. RFG empowers advisors to define success on their own terms. Joining a team that's so focused on innovation and defining what the future of the industry means is incredibly exciting for me.”

Salameh will be joined in her new role by behavioral finance trailblazer Brendan Frazier, the incoming chief behavioral officer at RFG. As the founder of Wired Planning, Frazier will leverage his deep experience to support RFG’s advisors and their clients.

Shannon Spotswood, president at RFG, comments: “The future of advice in our industry is where the human components of the profession intersect with technical knowledge and strategy. RFG is embracing this sea change in our industry by adding a talented chief behavioral officer to our experienced investment team.”

Further strengthening the new RFG executive team is Kenneth J. Kim, chief financial officer. Previously the head of corporate development and strategy for North America at FNZ (via YieldX acquisition), Kim brings over two decades of experience spanning fintech, investment banking and strategic corporate development.

Spotswood concludes: “This powerhouse team is going to transform and set the standard for the future of the wealth management industry. Abby, Brendan, and Ken each bring their own stellar attributes to the table, and we are lucky to have them. Combining them with the existing talent on our team – we are the firm for growth mindset advisors to build their business without compromise. It is an exciting time for advisors to look at joining RFG.”

RFG’s core mission is “supported independence,” empowering advisors with the tools they need to accelerate growth and build enterprise value.

The new executives will be introduced to the entire team and to RFG advisors at the Annual RFG Growth Conference in Naples, Florida, taking place from March 11th-14th. During the four-day event, RFG will reflect on a transformative year in 2023, which included a strategic growth investment from Long Ridge Equity Partners. The retreat will also feature a jam-packed agenda including some of the best known names in the industry: Eric Clarke, former CEO of Orion, Aaron Klein, co-founder and former CEO of Nitrogen, and financial services fintech expert, Joel Bruckenstein, producer of the T3 Advisor Technology Conference. Also appearing on stage will be Jud Mackrill, co-founder of Milemarker, Stacy Havener, founder and CEO of Havener Capital Partners LLC and speakers from Strategic Coach and Admired Leadership.
