Tiffany Williamson, Author of #FitToBeWilliamson, Launches Book and Foundation to Raise Awareness for Rare Medical Condition

By: Get News

Waldorf, Maryland - Tiffany Williamson, a Maryland resident and mother of three, has launched her debut book, #FitToBeWilliamson, which details her journey of self-discovery and healing after the loss of her daughter to Hypomelanosis of Ito (HI Syndrome), a rare genetic disorder. In honour of her daughter, Torri, Williamson also created the HI Syndrome Foundation, which aims to raise awareness and funds for research into seizures and rare medical conditions.

In her book, Williamson shares her personal story of overcoming adversity, including her work in the oil industry, her career in the medical field, and her reign as the 2013 arm wrestling champion. She also details her journey of losing 100lbs with the help of a Fitbit, and how it ultimately led her to meet her husband and relocate across the country.

"In #FitToBEWilliamson, you will find love, tragedy, hardship, adultery, but most importantly the power of forgiveness," says Williamson. "You will find a woman with the power to save others while learning how to save herself."

A portion of all book sales will go towards the HI Syndrome Foundation, which can be found at www.hisyndromefoundation.org. Additionally, Williamson will be sharing her story and promoting the foundation on her YouTube channel, under the handle #FitToBeWilliamson.
