BEND, OREGON - MAY 15, 2024 - Two Spruce Law P.C. and the Peaceful Presence Project have partnered to host an upcoming workshop entitled ‘Financial and Legal Planning at End-of-Life: Core Considerations’. This carefully curated workshop will be held online on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 5:00-6:15pm PST, and will offer a wealth of insight into estate planning with an emphasis on Oregon law.

Through this dynamic partnership, Two Spruce Law P.C. and the Peaceful Presence Project are bringing critical end-of-life planning to the public with a low-cost and easily accessible workshop. ‘Financial and Legal Planning at End-of-Life: Core Considerations’ will walk guests through proactive estate planning with strategies for avoiding probate, the fundamentals of revocable living trusts, techniques for mitigating or eliminating Oregon’s estate tax, and the need for appointing a power of attorney. Guests will have an opportunity to learn about unique estate planning needs, such as planning for the care of a pet or navigating end-of-life planning when second marriages are a factor.
Attorneys Patricia Louise Nelson and Hanah Mirahmadi will lead the workshop. Nelson, who is in her 30th year of practicing law in Bend, is also an ordained Minister of Walking Prayer and integrates spirituality into her legal practice. Mirahmadi is a graduate of UC Hasting Law and on-the-rise lawyer. Together, the two look forward to educating guests about the intricacies and importance of end-of-life planning.
