Dr. Pispidikis’s educational background includes degrees in economics from the University of Western Ontario and the University of Windsor, a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic, and advanced nursing degrees from Hardin-Simmons University and Samford University.
The Dr. John Pispidikis Scholarship for Nursing is designed to recognize and reward students who exhibit academic excellence, a commitment to the nursing profession, and strong leadership skills. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled as undergraduate students in an accredited nursing program, demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in nursing, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Additionally, candidates should be actively involved in extracurricular activities or community service.
Applicants are required to submit an essay of 500 words or less, describing a moment or experience that inspired them to pursue a career in nursing and how they envision making a difference in the field. Essays, along with the applicant’s name, contact information, and proof of enrollment in their nursing program, should be emailed to apply@johnpispidikisscholarship.com. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2025, and the scholarship winner will be announced on May 15, 2025.
