By: PRLog

Videos to debut each week through start of Tokyo Olympic Games

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - June 24, 2021 - PRLog -- Mondo today announced a new campaign with Michael Johnson Performance called Mondo Moments Presented by MJP.

Through video profiles, Mondo Moments tells stories about aspiring and established athletes, the challenges they faced and how they overcame them, and defining moments in their athletic careers with the goal of inspiring other athletes at all levels. Part of Mondo Cares, which has a mission of enhancing communities through sport, Mondo Moments will feature different athletes each week now through the start of the Tokyo Olympic Games in late July.

"Through storytelling, Mondo Moments Presented by MJP will inspire athletes to perform their best and overcome their own perceived limits, just like Mondo's premier sports surfaces help athletes to excel," said Latasha Pittman, director of marketing and communications, Mondo.

The first Mondo Moments video features Michael Johnson, the founder of Michael Johnson Performance, who set five world records and won four Olympic gold medals and five world championships on Mondo tracks. In his video, the track and field superstar talks about issues he faced in his career, including injuries, losing and racism, how it felt to run on Mondo tracks, creating a moment that transitions you, and more.

Another athlete who is featured in the Mondo Moments videos is Tianna Bartoletta, who won six Olympic and world gold medals on Mondo tracks. Among the topics the sprinter and long jumper addresses in her video are her journey from losing every meet to winning them, and how her Mondo Moment included being empowered, committing to success and being rewarded for it.

Athletes who are interested in having their stories featured in future profiles can submit their information and links to their YouTube or Vimeo videos on the Mondo Moments website.
