Australia has a new environmental queen. Mrs. Earth Salisbury SA, Irene Evangelista Crowned Mrs. Earth Australia 2022

Mrs. Earth Salisbury SA, Irene Evangelista took home the crown at the end of the 2022 Mrs. Earth Australia competition in Sydney Australia.

Sydney, New South Wales Oct 31, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - It was a crowning moment as Mrs. Earth Salisbury SA, Irene Evangelista walked away a winner of the most prestigious environmental title in Australia during the Oct. 30 competition at the Epping Club in Sydney Australia.  Mrs. Earth Meerylands, Anie Gonzalez was awarded the title of Mrs. Earth Australia-Charity, Mrs. Earth Tempe, Kristen Tadem was awarded the title of Mrs. Earth Australia-Water, Mrs. Earth Nedlands, Rhea Tecson was awarded the title of Mrs. Earth Australia-Fire and Mrs. Earth Hassal Grove, Jenina Cotelo was awarded the title of Mrs. Earth Australia-Air

During the coronation ceremony, 2021 Mrs. Earth Australia titleholder Nicole Sadek gracefully passed down the crown, marking the end of her reign.  Mykhael Michaels the President and CEO of Mrs. Earth® traveled to Australia from the United States to personally present Mrs. Sadek with her official crown and sash as Mrs. Earth - Air 2022; a title that she earned earlier this year during the historic Mrs. Earth® 2021 International virtual competition, Nicole reflected on her time with the national title by sharing a message with a photo on Instagram of her 2021 national crowning class.

"This was an amazing opportunity to do my part to spread environmental awareness in my country.  I hope I made you proud Australia.  While my time as your Mrs. Earth Australia is coming to a close, I am looking forward to continuing the mission as your 2022 Mrs. Earth®-Air"

Irene Evangelista the new Mrs. Earth Australia, will join more than 80 delegates from nations all over the Earth at the 16th annual Mrs. Earth® competition taking place in July in Manila, Philippines.   All Australians are encouraged to sponsor and support your new national representative as she takes the journey of a lifetime to the most prestigious competition on Earth.

Irene is a wife, a mum of 3, and a nurse.  While her reign will encompass a range of areas to ensure the sustainability of planet Earth her advocacy is working towards zero food waste.  During the competition she said, "We must remember to only take what we will eat, and eat all we take. Food waste contributes to the increase in greenhouse gas emissions".

In an interview, just moments after winning the Mrs. Earth Australia title Irene had a burst of emotion and made the following statements.  "This is the most empowering thing that I have felt.  Irene also had encouraging words for other married ladies, "To all the mums out there, think about this, because this is a great opportunity to show your passion for the environment.  It's a great cause that's why I am here."

During the multi-day Mrs. Earth Australia competition event, contestants competed in the Mrs. Earth Australia pre-pageant show on Oct. 27. Non-finalists won the following awards:
Best in Talent and Peoples Choice - Jenna Cotelo; Environmental Speech - Irene Evangelista; Photogenic - Judith Tiqui-Nguyen; Resort Wear - Rhea Tecson; Best Evening Gown, Mrs. Harmony, Green Achiveir - Kristen Tadem; Mrs. Eco Angel, Mrs. Eco Fashion - Louise Gooley; Mrs. Eco Tourism - Mel Diaz; Mrs. Face of Earth Australia - Mary Boticario; Mrs. Social Media - Anie Gonzalez.

Executive Director and national license holder of Mrs. Earth Australia Julieta De Long said "I would like to thank the sponsors that made this possible."  We look forward to your continued support.   I also would like to thank all of our state and local titleholders that believe in our mission of keeping our country and Earth "Glamorously Green".  We invite you all back again to vie for this prestigious national title again next year.
