This Current Report on Form 8-K is being filed for the sole purpose of filing the Deloitte & Touche LLP consent to the incorporation by reference into certain Registration Statements on Forms S-8 of Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. of its report dated March 16, 2006, relating to the financial statements of Los Angeles SMSA Limited Partnership as of December 31, 2005 and 2004 and for each of the three years in the period ended December 31, 2005, appearing in the Annual Report on Form 10-K of Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. for the year ended December 31, 2005.
