Item 2.02  Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On February 25, 2013, Hecla Mining Company (the “Company”) issued a news release announcing the Company’s fourth quarter 2012 and twelve months ended December 31, 2012, financial results.  The news release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.

On February 25, 2013, the Company announced it declared a dividend of $0.0125 on its outstanding shares of common stock.  A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99.2 to this Form 8-K.
