In a press release issued on May 11, 2010, MAP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) provided an update on the Phase 3 development program for its LEVADEX™ product candidate for the potential treatment of acute migraine. The Company announced that it currently expects to file a New Drug Application (“NDA”) for LEVADEX with the United States Food and Drug Administration during the first half of 2011. The Company also announced that it will conduct a QT clinical trial, to evaluate whether LEVADEX has an effect on QT interval as measured by electrocardiogram, in support of the NDA. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
