Atlanta, GA - June 18, 2024 - Eden Architect is a band based in Atlanta, Georgia. The group managed to come up with a one-of-a-kind formula, with a strong focus on redefining the boundaries of rock and heavy music, igniting the spark of creativity with progressive elements and a more experimental attitude. The band recently dropped a new project titled Form and Function.

Comprised of members Vladdy Iskhakov (vocals), Cameron Allen (guitars), Reid Gyselinck (drums) and Anthony East (bass), the band embraces progressive music in a more contemporary way. The arrangements are quite intricate, but at the same time, there’s also room for ambience and a lot of depth, especially coming through in the form of cinematic sounds and production aesthetic, making for a more immersive listening experience.
Form and Function is even more impressive when considering that this is actually the debut album for this band. The record features 10 original tracks, which are bound together by a concept. The songs on the album offer a compelling narrative thread. Without giving away too much or spoiling the storyline of the album, each song serves as a new chapter of the same tale, and the progression of the narrative becomes more enticing and immersive as the album goes on with the set list.
Concept albums have long been a true staple of progressive music, but they aren’t as common when it comes to modern heavy prog. For this reason, Eden Architect managed to stand out with the release of Form and Function, infusing concept album elements with a very modern approach to this style of music and songwriting.
While the sound of this album is uncompromising and raw, there’s also room for elements that could be deemed more accessible even to people new to progressive music or heavy rock. The broad scope of this release makes it very relatable, and the narrative components of the concept add yet another layer that pairs wonderfully with the world-class musicianship of the band members at the helm of the project.
