Previous to that, Perkins rose up the ranks at the chief security office at TELUS as well as being an instructor at the University of Victoria. He has received more than 20 cybersecurity and information technology certifications and awards, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (“CISA”), Certified Information Security Manager (“CISM”) and CISSP Certification (“ISC2”).
