PED1NE, A Rising Star in the Morning Sky

By: Issuewire
Ped1ne

Istanbul, Turkey Mar 23, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Pedram Nematzadeh known as Ped1ne was born in Tehran on May 21st, 1992. He currently lives in Istanbul, Turkey. He is a professional DJ, musician, music producer, and arranger. Yesterday morning Ped1ne was spotted outside of a club in Turkey as he was leaving. He agreed to talk to some reporters later that day. At 10 AM, he arrived at the press room. He said that he only had a few hours of sleep that night and asked the reporters to keep their questions brief so that he could answer all of them.

Upon the first look, he seems a humble person. He made it as a DJ in a foreign country at such a young age, but he seems unaffected by his early rise in the music industry. The first thing he is asked is what describes him most as a person: "Well, probably my artistic taste. I sometimes wonder where it came from. I probably owe it to my zodiac sign. Do you believe in astronomy? Well, I'm not that of a believer myself; however, I read something about the people whose zodiac sign is Gemini; mine is Gemini as well. These people are exceptionally creative and innovative. I often showcase my creativity in my music. They are often pioneering figures in their field as well. I do pride myself on the fact that my music opens a new chapter in the realm of electronic music and that's why I love being a DJ so much," he says.

When asked about what drew him towards the music industry in the first place, he comments that he has always had an artistic sense: "It was art that found me, not the other way around," he says. He started his artistic career in 2010 as a photographer. As a photographer, he was always looking for unique people, objects, and events to picture. This is what brought him to the clubs in the first place: "It was the lighting, you see? That was what caught my eyes in the first place. As a photographer, all you want is to have such lighting in your photoshoot sessions. That is why I kept hanging around for a while and started taking pictures of the people, the movements, and their facial expressions when they were dancing to the music. They all seemed so happy, energized, and I wondered why! Well, I could hear the answer, beating around, one beat after the other, it was the music!" He believed that all the times that he spent at the clubs he felt as if something was born in him, or that it was brought back to life. "I couldn't take my eyes off the DJ booth anymore," he says.

His journey to become a DJ started right there, but that is not where it stopped. When asked whether it was in that moment that he decided to become a DJ: "It wasn't just one thing; it was everything all at once," he says. "You know, when you are creating your music, it is almost as if you are telling a story with every tune and rhythm. When you add tempo to it, it is almost as if you are creating suspense, now the listener wants to hear more: what's going to happen next? And that is where you drop the beat! Do you know what I mean? Right then and there, you have a masterpiece; a melody to the ears and a remedy to the soul." He speaks so fast as he is commenting about his music that he stops for a second to catch a breath. "By the way, you can always shake it off when you're stressed out or something. So there you have it! Killing two birds with one stone" he says while laughing.

At this point, you almost witness the vibe of the room has changed entirely. One of the reporters who is rather amazed by the way he describes his music asks whether being a DJ is exactly like what he describes here since she believed that when it comes to electronic music there is not much passion involved on the part of the DJ, rather it is the sequence of tunes doing their job. To which he answers: "That is a common misconception about being a DJ. It is not all electronic tunes; it is the type of music that has transcended into another level and dimension, and that's why it can almost make people dance, move, or do whatever when they hear it. I encourage you to listen to my track Poison Vibe.  The instrument that is played at the beginning brings about the sense of the East. However, after a few moments, you find yourself dancing to a rhythm that connects the East to the West. Music knows no boundaries."

The boundaryless nature of music is perfectly observed in DJ Ped1ne's work. Ever since he started his official career as a musician and music producer in 2014, he began performing as a DJ at various clubs around the globe and has had the opportunity to collaborate with multiple artists. "One of the talented musicians that I had the chance to work with is Taimaz Etaati. Taimaz and I worked on my next track Flying in the Dream, you can find the links to stream it on my website ped1ne.com along with my other tracks," he says.

Feel Hype Records produced and released DJ Ped1ne's first track Poison Vibe and his later tracks. He says that he wishes to be able to produce his music one day: "I have taken care of myself financially ever since I came to this country. And I made my career as a DJ without having anyone investing in me, so I guess you could say I know a thing or two about being an entrepreneur. I hope to be able to start my record company one day so that I could support those young aspiring musicians as well," he says.

There is an intellectual process to the creation of DJ Ped1ne's music. He does not get his musical aspirations from the outside world: "Well, it always starts in my head. I often see the beats inside my head jumping up and down. If this process goes on for a day or two and one rhythm just wouldn't let me go then I just know I'm up to something good," he says.

The way he describes his musical muse and what comes into creating his music reminds one of the prolific musicians like Dr. Dre who at one point said he stayed up for 79 hours and made music. He did not sleep even for one hour since he was worried he might lose the flow.

One of the reporters who picked up on this notion asked immediately whether he believed that whether he thinks when the beats are there with him for a couple of days they mean to speak to him in some way. To which he answers: "They do, in their own way, of course. It's one of those subtle voices that you just can't hear if you hadn't taught your ears to listen. I often listen for a while before I start to create music. Listening plays a huge role in your capacity to create music. Like I told you before, it was the music that I heard in the clubs that brought something to life in me. I wouldn't be able to create my music if I wasn't there in those clubs listening to the music the DJs created."

Ped1ne, while being in the earliest stages of his career, has made quite a name for himself in the music industry abroad. However, he does not plan to stop at any point: "I plan to continue creating more music. I don't care how long it takes, but I know my music is going to reach out to all the corners around the world and I can't wait for millions of people to hear it and find their rhythm within my music" he says.
